My Story
This wasn't the story
I planned.
Several years ago, I found myself walking through something I never expected as a parent. A child I deeply love chose distance from our family. What began as difficult conversations eventually became silence.
Like many of you, my first instinct was to fix it. I replayed conversations. I searched for answers. I questioned my decisions. I carried a weight of grief I didn't know how to put into words.
I wanted restoration. I wanted reconciliation. I wanted the relationship back.
But over time, God began showing me something I wasn't looking for.
Before He restored a relationship — He wanted to restore my heart.
This is the space where I share what that journey has looked like. The honest parts. The hard parts. The parts where God showed up in ways I didn't expect and wouldn't have chosen — but can't imagine having missed.
If you're a parent in the waiting, you belong here.

This study is not a formula for getting your prodigal back. It is an invitation to bring your whole heart before God — to stop performing strength when you are tired — and to let Him restore what has been worn down by waiting.
